As a wife and mama, I care a lot about providing quality for my own family. I aim to bring this quality to you through our handmade products and other high-quality local products. I make sure each item in our store is hand-selected for our customers!
how it all began
Here at Out in the Sticks Design Co., we are a women-owned, female-founded, and family-operated business that began as a creative outlet and flourished into what it is today.
I've always been my happiest when I'm creating. The downtime in 2020 offered me the perfect opportunity to explore this need to create. What started as a list of projects for myself quickly developed into requests from family and friends! Then friends of friends, neighbors and even strangers began reaching out. Shortly after, Out in the Sticks Design Co. was born. Since then, I've attended craft shows, open houses, vendor spotlight events and have sold my items from local businesses. In January of 2023, my mom, Erin, and I began the joint venture of opening our brick-and-mortar store in my hometown of Lewiston, Minnesota. With the same vision of handmade, local, hand-selected, and always high quality still in mind—our goal is to bring our wonderful customers the items they want and need!
No matter the setting, my favorite part of this venture has always been and will always be watching our customers enjoy our products just as much as we enjoy making and curating them. Whether they are laughing at a funny saying, envisioning a piece in their home, or finding a pair of jeans that fits just right, it always makes me smile. As the business expands and new items get added to our inventory, I never want to lose that moment when our customers' face lights up from seeing a product that speaks to them!

why i do what i do
Crafting makes me so happy and is truly my passion! I get to prioritize my love for offering others high-quality products while simultaneously prioritizing time spent with my family. It's the best of all worlds!
Whether through crafting or other areas of my life, I love making people happy! It's hard to top the feeling of seeing other people enjoy the products I worked so hard to create. I also value quality and want to bring that to you through my handmade creations and those of other local creators. This business, these products, and the support of every single one of you mean so much to me.
